Inauguration
of Electornics Hardware Technology Park
It
was for the first time in West Bengal, that an Electronics Hardware
Technology Park was inaugurated at the premises of Smartpower Technologies
on the evening of Tuesday, the 26th April, 2005. Honourable Minister
in charge Information Technology, Government of West Bengal, Sri
Manabendra Mukherjee was the Chief Guest. He had expressed his views
and assistance government can offer to such Unit. Later, he inaugurated
the Electronics Technology Park of Smartpower.
Honourable
Minister in Charge PWD, Government of West Bengal, Sri Amar Chowdhury
was the Guest of Honour. He had lighted the first lamp in the technology
park. He too assured all assistance from government to such unit
and appreciated Smartpower to come up with such technology Park
in his constitutuency.
Dr.
GD Gautama, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Government
of West Bengal, was the special guest who gave his valued suggestion
to the enterpreneurs of Electronics Industry. He made special mention
of all government assistance to such unit.
Amongst
the distinguished guests, were, Sri OP Jalan, President ELMA, Mr.
N Dhanuka, President COMPASS who had also addressed the august gathering
and solicited government's assistance.
Sri
M. V. G. K. Krishnaya, Director, STP, Kolkata, Sri Rudra, Mr. VK
Bhanadari, Sri Arun K Jalan (both Past Presidents of Computer Association
of Eastern India) and other distinguished professionals joined the
eve.
Sri
Rajib K Poddar, Partner, Smartpower Technologies, explained the
need of such unit and made a magnificent electronic presentation
on screen, on the actual scenario of the Electronics Industry in
West Bengal and the need of the day for such a unit. Later, the
website of smartpower was launched by the ministers.
Sri
G Jayanth gave a warm Vote of Thanks. Ms. Deepti Poddar, Partner
Smartpower Technologies ensured hospitality to each and every participants.
The
event came to end with dinner where participants interacted amongst
themselves. |
